Parliament supports EU fiscal pact

Hungary's parliament on Monday voted in favour of a proposal that the country should join the European Union's fiscal pact.
The European agreement, to take effect on January 1, 2013, will be signed by presidents and prime ministers of the EU at a European Council session on March 1-2.
In the parliamentary roll-call vote, the ruling parties and the opposition Socialists supported the motion, deputies of the radical nationalist Jobbik voted against, while representatives of the small LMP abstained.
