EC investigating Hungarian voucher system

A European Union official on Sunday confirmed the European Commission is investigating a food voucher system Hungary introduced at the start of the year.
Spokeswoman for internal market and services Chantal Hughes told MTI that the Commission was investigating the new "Erzsebet" voucher system "in a comprehensive, global manner".
"The Commission is considering in particular whether certain provisions of...the legislation may amount to restrictions to the right of establishment or the right to provide services," she added.
