The Hungarian and Slovak governments will seek a cooperative solution to the problems of Roma communities in the Hungary-Slovakia border region, Hungarian State Secretary Zoltan Balog told MTI on Thursday.
Balog, who is in charge of social inclusion, held talks in Bratislava on the European Union's Roma strategy, initiated by the Hungarian EU presidency last year.
Parties at the talks agreed that the EU funds available to improve the situation of the Roma minority were utilised with especially low efficiency, and agreed that the two countries will jointly submit change proposals in Brussels.
